Thanksgiving Weekend Deals!

I am a huge fan of Thanksgiving weekend shopping. I'm one of the crazies that gets up before the sun on Black Friday in order to get some real bargains. Aside from the bargains, Black Friday is a lot of fun for me. I love to watch the people get crazy over a Barbie doll or a pair of slippers. I never venture out on Black Friday alone. I've been out with my brother, my mom, my mother in law, my sister in law and even my sweet husband. I once even brought my oldest son with me when he was a baby. :) Now I make sure to have a babysitter because 3 kids in Walmart or the mall on a regular day is bad enough but on Black Friday? NOOO way.

The past few years I have also added Thanksgiving Day shopping to my busy day. You see, I host Thanksgiving and cook an enormous meal complete with at least 6 types of dessert. This is how it works. Wednesday I do a LOT of prepping. I do everything I can to get ready in advance. I make pies and salads and casseroles and bread doughs. On Thanksgiving I get up and make a nice breakfast and get the turkey started. Then I have a few hours for shopping. I leave my husband at home with the kids and a list of things to do like setting the table and watching the turkey. Then again in the evening after the meal has been consumed, cleaned up and put away and everyone has lain around with full bellies, I go back out to do more shopping. Perhaps I have a problem? I don't really care. ;)

So I thought I would share some of my plans for this holiday weekend with you. You may not be as crazy as I am but surely you will glean a few good deals from the next few blog posts. :)

Walmart Clearance Find!!

I was in Walmart last night and decided to check out their children's workbooks. Summer is quickly approaching and I like to keep my kids' brains active with workbooks and other activities. I saw a book that was marked less than the others so I grabbed it and another of the same brand and went to check the price. The books were normally $7.95. The one was marked $3.86 and the other wasn't marked at all. They both rang up for $2!! I went back to the books and collected some more of the same brand and also a couple of a different brand. I went back to the price scanner to find out that the same brand of books were now telling me to "see sales associate" while the different brand were ringing up full price. I returned the full price books to the book department and took my stack of books that said "see sales associate" to a register and asked the cashier to price check them. They all rang up with deep discounts! I had 2 with a regular price of $14.95 that rang up $4 and one with a regular price of $9.95 that rang up $4.50. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason for the discount amount but they were all marked down plenty enough for me to buy them! There were plenty left and I don't expect them to fly off the shelf because they are not marked.

These are the books that I bought. There were other other selections available but I didn't check their prices. It seemed that all of this brand are marked down. The "Total Basic Skills" books were $14.95 and rang up $4. The "Everything for Early Learning" books were $7.95 and rang up $2!! The other book (Alphabet) was $9.95 and rang up $4.50.

Kmart Super Doubles 4/4 - 4/10

Kmart is doing Super Doubles again this week. What does that mean? That means that they will double coupons up to $2 face value. A $1 coupon will double to $2. A $2 coupon will double to $4!! A $2.50 coupon will not double. There are some rules to this doubling event. First rule is that you must use your Shop Your Way Rewards card. That's a pretty big downer but there are still some deals to be found. :)

UPDATE!! As of Tuesday morning the Dove is not rolling. I haven't heard for sure on the John Frieda yet. The Dove is still free after RR but the RRs are no longer rolling!

Okay, we all know that RRs at Wags do not roll, right? Right. Usually. However, there are occasional glitches in the system where one will roll. That means that you can use a RR that you got from product A on another product A and still get your next RR. This is a huge deal. This glitch is actually happening in TWO deals this week.

Dove hair care products $4 get $4RR. ROLLING! That means it's straight free (plus tax) without any coupons. There are $1.50/1 peelies on some older bottles and there was a $1.50/1 coupon in yesterday's coupon inserts!!

John Frieda hair care 3/$15 get $5RR wyb3. There are $3/1 shampoo/conditioner coupon and $2/1 styling product coupons. Buy 3 for $15, use 3 $3/1 coupons making your total $6, get back $5! $1 for 3 John Frieda products is HOT. This one is rolling too!!

I can't be sure how long these will roll though so don't delay! Get out there NOW and buy these products over and over again. Usually Walgreens/Catalina fix these glitches and that generally happens in the overnight Catalina update. This very well may not work anymore tomorrow so get out there today and get as many as you can. :)

Hello fellow bargain hunters! I realize that it has been a month since I last blogged and I apologize. There were not any deals worth blogging about, IMO. This week at Walgreens TOTALLY changed that!! There are some amazing deals. This will be one of those weeks when I am at Walgreens daily. :)

You can see the ad scans HERE. Do you see what I see? I see a LOT of freebies (after RR). There are plenty of opportunities to roll your RRs back and forth on free items. Add in some manu coupons and you'll actually gain some RRs.

Airwick air freshners are 50% off this week. There are various manu coupons for $4 and $5 off. I do not know how much these cost but prior sales tell me that these will be free or very close to free.

Dentek Floss 55yd $2 get $2 RR! FREE!! AND there's a $1/1 manu coupon which makes this one a money maker.

Dulcolax Balance 14day $10 get $10RR! FREE!! There are coupons for $2 off bottled water wyb Dulcolax. I am all over free stuff plus free/cheap bottled water.

Walgreens brand One Daily Multivitamins (mens or womens formula) 100ct $3 get $3RR. FREE!

Dove hair care products $4 get $4RR. There is a $1.50/1 manu coupon coming in this weekend's inserts making this one a nice money maker.

This is a really light week for deals. There are only a couple of things that I see.

Hershey's Pieces bagged candy $2.50. Spend $10 get $5RR. There are $1/1 coupons so the math would look like this: $2.50x4 = $10 - $4 qs - $5RR = $1 for 4 bags!! Great for Easter baskets.

Trident Layers gum $0.99. There are $0.75/1 coupons which will make these $0.24 each.

Buy 2 Advil or Thermacare products and receive a $5RR. Advil products are $4.49, Thermacare are $5.99 and $7.99. There are $2/1 Advil manu coupons out there that would make these FREE. There is also a $3/1 Thermacare IP HERE. Buy 2 of the $5.99 packs for $11.98 - $3x2 - $5RR = $0.98 for 2!! That is a great price if you use these!!

The big Pepsico deal is on for another week! Spend $20 get $10 on 12 pks, 2 liters and all sorts of chips.

There is also a $1/1 IVC in the CAB. $8.99 x 3 = $26.97 - $2/1 x 3 - $1/1 x 3 = $17.97 - $5RR = $12.97/3 = $4.32 per pack. Pretty good price in my book!! Anything less than $5 is a stock up price. HOWEVER... check out the Target post coming up for a possibly better diaper deal. :)

Pert Plus products are 2/$5 and you receive a $2RR wyb2. There are $1/1 Pert Plus or $1.50/1 Pert Plus for Men coupons. This means $0.50 each for regular or FREE men's shampoo!!

Sure deodorant is 2/$3 with an in-ad IVC. There are $1/1 regular and $1.50/1 men's coupons. That means $0.50 each for regular or FREE for men's!!

The Pepsico deal from last week is still going on so check it out. Cheap pop and chips. :)

Cottonelle 12pk toilet paper is on mega saver this month for $5 (usually $6.99). There are $1/1 coupons making these $4. Pretty good price for me.

Go to Target. See how much Pepsi 12pks are on sale for in your market. Here in Indiana it is 4/$10 this week. Someone I know in Arizona said their price was 5/$10! Now go HERE and print $1/1 target coupons and then go HERE and print $1/3 manufacturer coupons. Yes, you can combine these at Target. The combination of these 2 coupons and the sale at my store made my price $1.16 per 12pk. The sale price should be good until 12/26 so get out there and buy some cheap pop.

There are 6 items that are FREE after RRs but that's not even the most exciting part about this ad!! This ad introduces Holiday Rewards for this season!! Holiday Rewards are a catalina that is a store coupon. You earn HRs just through regular shopping. Spend $25 get $5 HR! The best part? The $25 that you spend is before any coupons come into play!! That includes manu coupons, RRs AND IVCs!! This is seriously HOT. Make sure all of your transactions are over $25 before coupons so that you can get your HRs!! I am not sure if the HRs will roll this year or not. Let's assume NOT. That means that if you use a HR you will not receive a HR on that transaction. That's fine though. Target Wipes Deal good through 12/05/09

Target has put out a coupon good for $1 off any one Up and Up diapers or wipes. Up and Up is Target's new store brand and I've only heard rave reviews of their diaper/wipe products. I went to Target to see just how good this deal could be. They had 3 containers of wipes that caught my eye:

tub of 72 baby wipes for $1.29
soft pack of 40 baby wipes for $1.46
soft pack of 42 toddler wipes for $0.97

I bought one of each and used 3 of the $1/1 coupons. The $1/1 came off correctly on the baby wipes and auto-adjusted to $0.97 on the toddler wipes! Yay for cheap and free wipes!

Buy 3 for $3.99 - $1/1 x 3 - $2/1 x 3 = $2.97 and you get back $8!! Great money maker! Last I checked the coupons were selling for fairly cheap on Ebay. :)

Comtrex cold meds $5.99. There is a $3 IVC in the Nov IVC book. There is also a $2 IVC in the Healthy Savings book. Combine those with a $2/1 manu coupon and you MAKE $1.01 on each one that you buy!!

This week doesn't look tooooo terrible at Walgreens. The more I dig, the more I find. :) Here is what I see so far:

The HOT deal of the week: Bayer (breeze2 and contour) diabetes monitors $14.99 get $5 RR. There was a manu coupon in the paper in the last 2 weeks for up to $30 off so the meter is free and you get a $5 RR. The coupons are selling on Ebay and other clipping sites for about $0.75 to $1 each shipped. I am skipping this deal since the cost of coupons plus tax on the meters would make it quite a bit out of pocket and just not really worth it to me. If you live in a state the taxes on the after coupon amount then it will be a great deal for you. :)

Clearasil products are BOGO this week. The cheapest item (daily face wash) is $4.79. There are $2/1 manu coupons and you can use one on each item so it will be $0.79 for 2!

There are also manu coupons for $0.50/3 which makes these a $0.23 money maker for every 3 that you buy! Or $0.09 each without manu coupons!! These are the 85ct cubes of Kleenex.

One more deal: Hershey's holiday bagged candy 2/$5 and get a $1 RR. There are $1/1 coupons for Kisses making these $1 per bag after coupons and RRs. The RR is monthly but I'm not sure if the 2/$5 price is or not.

Walgreens 11/1 - 11/7

This looks like a sad week at Walgreens. We don't know the monthly deals yet so let's hope there is some hotness there. :) Here is what I see this week:

World's Finest and Queen Anne's chocolates 4/$10 get $5 RR = 4/$5. Not a bad deal for good chocolates.

NyQuil and DayQuil 2/$9 get $3 RR. There are $1.50/1 coupons in tomorrow's P&G insert that will make these $3/2 after coupons and RRs. Not like any of us NEED cold meds but if this is your preferred brand, it's a great price.

Pampers jumbo packs 2/$20 get $2 RR. There is a $1.50/1 coupon in tomorrow's P&G insert that will make these 2/$15 after coupons and RRs. Not a great price but good if you NEED diapers or have RRs to kill.

Proctor and Gamble personal care items are 2/$8 and you get a $2 RR. Items included are Old Spice and Gillette bodywash, Tag and Old Spice body spray, Old Spice, Secret or Gillette Deodorant. There are many different coupons for these items in both the October and November P&G coupon inserts. Notable coupons are Tag body spray bogo which would make these 2/$2 after coupons and RRs, Buy Gillette bodywash get Gillette deodorant free which would also make these 2/$2 after coupons and RRs.

Herbal Essence products 2/$7 get $2 RR. There is a coupon in the 10/11 P&G for buy an Herbal Essence shampoo or conditioner get a styler free. So it would look like this: $7 - $3.50 (bogo coupon) = $3.50 get back $2. $1.50/2... not a terrible price if you NEED hair products. ;)

Target Holiday Glade Deal now through 12/26!

Target is running a great deal on Glade products from now until 12/26!! Buy 5 and get a $5 GC. It is only on the holiday scents which at my store was only Apple Cinnamon and Bayberry Spice (or something like that... it's green). They have holiday printing on their package. The scented oil candle holders, tins and refills are the best deal right now with the coupons available. They are all $2.50 each and there are TONS of different coupons out there.

The first coupon that you'll want to get is "Buy one holder, get a refill free". These are current blinkies and they are being found at grocery stores, CVS and Kmart.

Now you'll want a coupon to use on the holder that you are buying. There are insert coupons for $2/2. There is also a $1.50/1 coupon found in some of the tins. Also, if you happened to stock up last year you might want to check your packages because people are finding lots of different coupons in the packages.

Now let's say you have the BOGO coupons and the $1.50/1 coupons. Buy 5 holders and 5 refills and your transaction would look like this:

5 holders $12.50
5 refills $12.50
Total $25
- $1.50 x 5 = $7.50
- bogo ($2.50) x 5 = $12.50
Total $5
get back 2 $5 GCs!! $5 moneymaker!!

THEN submit for THIS rebate!! $5 wyb 3 or more SCJohnson products. Limit of 3 per household!

Now let's say you are like me and only have the $2/2 coupons instead of the $1.50/1 coupons. I would do this:

get back $20 in GCs. $5 money maker and don't forget the rebate!!

This is the hot one this week!! Buy 3 get $8. Participating products include TheraFlu ($4.99), Triaminic ($4.99), Vagistat ($9.99) and Excedrin ($6.99). There are $2/1 coupons for both the Theraflu and Triaminic in the Healthy Savings book at Wags. There were also coupons in this past Sunday's paper which differing values. Walgreens is just rocking my world this month. There are so many deals to be had that my head is just spinning. Let's start with a couple of grocery deals! Yes, grocery deals at a drugstore.

First one is Unilever products. Bertolli frozen meals ($5.99), Skippy peanut butter (3/$5), Hellman's mayo (2/$5) and Ragu pasta sauce (3/$5) are the participating products. Buy 8 and get an $8 RR. There were coupons a couple of weeks ago for most of these products. Here are the best scenarios I see:

8 Skippy = $13.33 - 8 $0.75/1 coupons = $7.36, get $8RR. Moneymaker!
8 Ragu = $13.33 - 4 $1/2 coupons = $9.33 get $8RR. $1.33 for 8 jars! That works out to $0.17 each!

You could also combine those two items like this:

4 Skippy and 4 Ragu = $13.33 - 4 $0.75/1 Skippy - 2 $1/2 Ragu = $8.33 get $8RR!!

Another grocery deal!

Quaker instant oatmeal and granola bars are 2/$5. You will get a $5 RR wyb $10 worth (or 4 items). There are $1/2 granola bar coupons including an IP HERE. There are also $3/5 items coupons. $10 - 2 $1/2 coupons = $8, get $5 RR. $3 for 4 boxes isn't a bad deal at all.

This week's ad looks pretty blah. The only deals that I see are:

Purell 8oz hand sanitizer $2.99, get $2 RR. There are $0.50 manu Qs making these $0.49 each. Good deal to me! Especially during flu season.

Reynold Wrap aluminum foil 20 sq ft $0.89 with in-ad coupon. If you happen to have any of the elusive $1/1 coupons that do NOT exclude the 20 sq ft, you have a money maker on foil!! Give the manu Q first and then the Wags coupon and you should be beep-free.

Now, don't take this week off from Walgreens! There are still many free after RR items that are monthly so keep rocking those deals!

ETA: I just wanted to add another deal that I did not post before.

Bengay products are 2/$10 and you get a $5 RR wyb2. There are $2/1 insert coupons that will make these $0.50 each. Peelies are being found on the products too. Some are $2/1 and some are $5/2!! If you are lucky enough to find the $5 ones, that is FREE bengay! I have been buying the warming patches myself with the $2/1 coupons and peelies.

There is a montly deal on J&J baby powder. In general, the best deal is the buy the trial size for $1.29 and get $1 RR. However, there is an in-ad coupon this week for $1.50/1 J&J baby product. The full sized bottle of powder is $4.29 at my store. Using the in-ad coupon, a $1/1 manu coupon and counting the $1 RR this ends up being $0.79! Great deal!! The in-ad coupon can also be used on baby wash and baby lotion. There will be no RR but it will still be $1.79 for the big bottle.

Just remember the Walgreens RR rules!! You have to have as many items as you have manufacturer coupons and RRs count as manu coupons. Your total cost (without tax) can not be less than the value of the RR. Not even by $0.01. That's why we have to add in a filler in the above scenario. And last, you can not use a RR on the same product and get another RR. For instance, you can't buy the Razor System and then use the $3.99RR to buy another Razor System. You will NOT get your new $3.99 RR if you do this.

There are quite a few deals going on a Jewel right now but biggest deal right now is a catalina deal where you spend $30 get $15 on General Mills and Unilever items. It is on the front page of the Sunday ad. Refresher: At Jewel catalina deals go by the price the item scans at, not the sale price!! For instance, Breyers ice cream is on sale for $3 but the scanning price is $6.65. You only need to buy 5 at $6.65 to reach the $30 threshold! You would then pay $15 for 5 and get back $15 in cats! FREE ice cream! There are also $1/1 coupons out there. If you can get your hands on those it will be a $5 moneymaker!!

- Pages print front side only, not front and back.
-Make sure the picture you choose for the title page has the main focus (i.e. faces) in the center of the picture. Otherwise the heads will get off when they put the actual cover on the book. (through the window cutout)
-Once the machine auto-arranges the photos on a page, you can go to each page to rearrange / resize / zoom-in / change quality etc. It just depends on the time you want to spend on each book.
- Another thing that I do which I love is to use one/few of my own pictures as background
- If possible do your photos on the individual Kodak kiosk which prints the prints at the bottom of the kiosk. Usually these print with the premier photo paper and come with better quality.

This week looks pretty sad at Walgreens. Here are the few deals that I do see:

Buy $10 worth of certain Crest products and receive $3 RR. Products included are Crest w/Scope, Crest ProHealth, Oral B toothbrush and Glide dental floss. These products are all priced at 2/$5 so buy 4 for $10 and get back $3. There don't seem to be any coupons to make this a better deal.

Buy $10 worth of CoverGirl makeup and receive $3 RR. There are $1/1 and $2/2 CoverGirl coupons in today's P&G insert.

Buy $10 worth of Keebler cookies and crackers and receive $5 RR. Items include Club crackers, Cheez-its, Pecan Sandies and Fudge Stripe cookies. These are all priced at 2/$5. You would buy 4 for $10 and get back $5 making it 4/$5. Not a bad deal on yummy snacks. Also, here is an IP for $1/1 Pecan Sandies to make this deal even better.

And finally, the main reason that I will be going to Wags this week. Starbucks ice cream is BOGO! Regular price is $4.79. There are $2/1 coupons and you should be able to use a coupon on each pint which would make them $0.79 for 2!! Yay for almost free ice cream!

A couple of things to check out at Target this week...

Edy's ice cream 1.5qt on sale 3/$7. There is a $1/1 Target insert coupon making these $1.33 each!

This isn't a sale price but more of a secret clearance. Some stores have it marked but others do not. The regular 24ct Crayola crayons are $0.30. Buy now to stock up for back to school! Also all 10ct Crayola markers and 12ct Crayola colored pencils are $1.

If you have a Super Target there are a few good grocery deals.

Hormel Always Tender baby back ribs are $1.79/lb. There is a MQ for $1/1 Hormel Always Tender product. If you bought a 2lb slab that would bring your price down to $1.29/lb.

Corn on the cob is 10/$1!! Great price!

There are quite a few items that are "buy 10 get the 11th free". Just to be clear on this deal... you can buy 10 of ANY of the items in the deal and get any of the items free. You could get 3 of item A, 4 of item B and 3 of item C and get 1 item B for free. AND you can use a coupon on that free item!!

Ronzoni Smart Taste is one of these 10/11th free items. There are $1/1 and $1/2 coupons. There is also a $1/2 MBQ so even with just the $1/2 coupon you would have FREE pasta!!

Finally a week worth CVSing!! Check out the ad scans here thanks to MyFeetHurt at SD.

Best deal of the week has to be the Soy Joy bars. I have to admit that I have bought hundreds of these in the past couple of years and NEVER eaten one. My 4 y/o son LOVES them but he loves all things healthy. My other two children will not touch them. I give them away or sell them for cheap at my yard sale. Anyway, the deal... they are 4/$4 and you get $4 ECBs!! Free! But it gets better. There are bogo coupons!! That makes this a good money maker. The limit on this deal is 5 per card so 20 Soy Joy bars for $20 - 10 bogo coupons = $10 and get back $20 ECBs. Now remember, you would get back ONE BIG $20 ECB so my advice would be to split up your Soy Joy into multiple transactions. Oh and there are some printable coupons here to help you if you don't have the insert coupons.

Pepsi product 2 liters are 3/$4 and you get a $1 ECB wyb 3 making them 3/$3. This deal has a limit of 2 so you can get 6 2 liters. I found a coupon hanging on the 2 liters at CVS for $1/4. You could buy 6 for $8, use a $1/4 coupon and pay $7 and get back $2 making it $5 for 6 2 liters.

Tylenol 20-24ct products are $4.99 and you get $2 ECBs. There is a limit on this deal of 3 per card. There are coupons for $2/1 Tylenol Arthritis or $3/2 8hour or extra strength products.

Thermacare 1 ct neck or wrist wraps are $2.49, get $2.49 ECBs. FREE! Limit is 2. There are $1/1 coupons out and also some printables here to turn this deal into a money maker!

Always Infinity 28ct maxi pads are on sale this week for $4.99 and there is a $4 coupon in this month's P&G making these $0.99 after coupon!

One last thing... FreeStyle glucose meters are on sale for $9.99. There is a coupon for up to $9.99 off making these free. I know that we get paid to take glucose monitors all the time so this isn't an awesome deal but it could be used to up your pre coupon total for CVS $/$$ coupons.

I see a few good deals. Some ways to roll those RRs that we earned this week too!

Aquafresh Advanced $3, get $3 RR. That's flat free! Roll those St Ives and Nabisco RRs. :) There is supposed to be a $0.75/1 coupon in this Sunday's paper also. You can print a few coupons from here for these toothpastes.

Speed Stick or Lady Speed Stick $2.99 get $2 RR. That makes it $0.99 for deodorant. Not a bad price but I wouldn't stock up at this price. There are NO current Speed Stick coupons to be used.

Bandaids 2/$3 use $1/1 coupons to make these $0.50 each.

Splenda 100pk $2.99. There are $1/1 and $2/2 coupons out. $1.99 for a box of Splenda is a good deal to me.

Planters Trail Mix 2/$3, get a $1 RR wyb 2 and that makes them 2/$2.

Not an outstanding, run out and stock up week but there are certainly decent deals and good RR rolling opportunities.

Hot Jewel Catalina Deal on Conagra and Dannon $25/$10

Let me preface this by saying that all of my Jewel information comes from www.couponerswanted.com. This forum is AMAZING and if you are or ever want to be a Jewel shopper, I suggest joining NOW.

This deal is advertised in this week's sales flier incorrectly. It is advertised as "buy $20 get $10" but it is actually "buy $25 get $10". This is alright. We can still get some good deals. :) Of course we know that at Jewel, catalina deals are the ticket to great prices. There are 3 price points at Jewel: shelf, sale, preferred. The shelf price is the big price that you see on the shelf. This has nothing to do with catalina deals. The sale price is the tiniest price that you will see on a sales tag. This is the price that you would pay for something if you didn't use a preferred card. THIS is the price that we use to calculate catalinas. The preferred price is the price that you actually pay with your preferred card. Let's say item A has a shelf price of $2.79, sale price of $2.25 and preferred price of $1.25. We use the $2.25 price to calculate our deals but we only actually PAY the $1.25 price.

ALERT: As of Friday morning this promotion has been fixed/pulled. DO NOT buy these! They will NOT produce ECBs!! Sorry if you didn't get them yesterday!

UPDATE: I went to 3 CVS this afternoon. One CVS had a slew of these. They were hanging on a strip on the sunglass rack. The other two did not have these but they did have glasses lanyards ($1.99) and glasses cases ($2.99) which also work for this deal. Good luck and have fun collecting your ECBs! :)

There is a deal this week that is buy 2 pair of sunglasses, get $10 ECBs. According to my sources at SD ( ;) ) there are lens cleaning cloths that are also working for this deal. They cost $0.99 each. Buy 2 for $1.98 plus tax, get back $10 ECBs, making this a $8.02 MONEY MAKER!! Limit of one per card. I am going this afternoon to check it out for myself.

A few decent deals I found this week at Target.

First, they put out a Target.com coupon for $2/1 Similac powdered infant formula. Target's coupon policy is that you can combine a store coupon with a manufacturer coupon. There is a $2/1 mq that can be combined with the $2/1 Target.com coupon (found here) to save $4 off Similac!

There is a promo this week where you buy any 3 jumbo packs of Huggies and get a $5 Target gift card. They are on sale for $8.99 so 3 is $26.97. Use any coupons that you might have from mailers or there are $1.50/1 diapers and $2/1 Pullups coupons from recent inserts. After the cashier scans the 3rd pack of diapers they will hand you a $5 GC. Let's say you have the $1.50 coupons. Your transaction would look like this:

3 packs at $8.99 = $26.97
3 coupons at $1.50 = $4.50
Total $22.47
earn $5 GC
Total after GC is $17.47 or $5.82 per pack. Not too shabby.

How about a great deal on ice cream/popcicles? :) This is assuming you don't have a Jewel and therefore aren't out buying freezers full of free Breyers. You get a $5 GC wyb any 5 of these items: 1 pint Ben & Jerry's, 1.5 qt Breyers, 6pk Klondike bars or 24ct Popcicles. These are all priced at $2.50 so without any coupons that makes them $1.50 each. Not bad. There are also $1/2 Breyers coupons so that would make them $1 per carton! Just thought I would share my deals from today. I did 3 transactions at Kmart Super Doubles and then went to Walmart to use up some expiring coupons and get some supplies that I needed.

I had some $4 Pace salsa IPs that were getting ready to expire. I know that Walmart generally gives full value for coupons even if the item is less than the coupon so I went there to use them. I also needed some supplies to make homemade bug repellant. While there I decided to get some manicure supplies to pamper myself. :) Here is what I got:

Hefty One Zip bags are bogo with an in ad coupon or 2/$3.29. There are $1/1 coupons out there and it is Wags policy to use a coupon on each item that you purchase. This would make them 2/$1.29 or $0.65 per box! Good deal on storage bags!

Are you trying to go green? Do what you can for the environment? Wags green reusuable shopping bags are usually $1 each which is pretty much the going rate at any store. This week, with the in ad coupon, they are 3/$1!!! This is a great deal and I plan to stock up. With my grocery trips being stockpiling trips I never have enough reusuable bags!

John Freida hair care products are 3/$15 and you get a $5 RR wyb 3. There are $3/1 Root Awakening coupons which would make these 3/$1 after RR.

Jewel GM/Coke/Unilever Catalina Deal 6/4-6/17 HOT

Jewel Osco is a Chicagoland store that is owned by Albertsons. It is generally a VERY high end, expensive store. What many people don't realize is that Jewel runs mega awesome sales! I couldn't even begin to tell you all of the stuff I have gotten for free or have even been paid to take from Jewel. Being as frugal as I am, I would never pay their regular prices for anything. They draw me in very often with these amazing deals though.

This deal is in the ad for today but has actually been running for a week and we didn't know it. It is a catalina deal where you spend $25 and get back $10. Nice, right? Even better... the $25 price point is actually on the scanned price. I'm sure you have no idea what I mean. Allow me to explain. At Jewel you must have a Preferred Card to get the advertised prices. This is called the "preferred price". If you use the uscan or were to have the cashier ring your items without scanning your card you would see that the items ring up the "sale price" and then the "preferred amount" comes off leaving you with the "preferred price". Say an item is regularly $5, is on "sale" for $4 but has a "preferred price" of $2. For a catalina deal the $4 would be what counts toward the catalina purchase amount!! Are you understanding this? This is HUGE. This is how I get so much stuff for free from Jewel.

There are many more and I will probably update with more great scenarios as we go along with this deal.

Oh and don't forget... you CAN roll your cats meaning that you can use a $10 cat to pay for more participating items and receive another $10 cat! Have fun!!

Meijer 6/7 - 6/13

Meijer is a midwest located grocery stores. They have low every day prices and amazing sales/deals. In my region there are no double coupons, however many regions do have double coupons up to $0.50. You can look in your ad to see if you get doubles.

One of the best things about Meijer is their Mealbox coupons (MBQ). These are store coupons that can be found at www.meijer.com and printed. They used to be limited to one per transaction but Meijer recently changed the verbage to read "one per item". Yay! This makes Meijer deals a lot easier many times.

Ritz crackers are on sale for $2.50 and there is a $1/1 IP and a $1/1 MBQ which makes them $0.50 per box!

Ken's dressing (80z) is on sale for $1 and there is a $1/1 MQ which makes it FREE.

Bar S hotdogs and bologna are on sale for $1 and there is a $1/2 MQ which makes them $0.50 each.

One last deal: Lysol products are 50% off. There are lots of coupons for these. There are also MBQ to match up with these. I don't have specific prices so I can't give you more info that than. Should make for some really cheap/free cleaners.

CVS 6/7 - 6/13

I have to start this post by saying that CVS used to be my most favorite store. They have gotten stingier with their deals though and I now rarely shop CVS. I do check the ad each week to see if I need to go there for anything though.

CVS runs on a reward program called Extra Care Bucks (ECBs). These print at the bottom of your receipt and are good on any future purchase (not valid on tobacco, alcohol, gift cards, etc). These can be "rolled" with no problem. CVS limits their deals and you will see toward the bottom of the receipt how many items you have purchases toward the limit. Let's say there is a deal on Colgate with a limit of 5 and you purchase 2, the bottom portion of your receipt will show that you have purchases 2 and not reached the limit.

Walgreens (Wags) is a great drug store. They are undergoing some changes currently in their rewards systems. They used to have a program called "easy saver rebates" but recently did away with it. They currently issue "Register Rewards" (RR) which are basically catalina coupons. One really important thing to remember about Wags is that their RRs do not roll. That means that if you purchase item A and receive a catalina for it, if you use that catalina to pay for another item A, you will NOT receive a new catalina. Now, if item A and item B are both giving RRs and you use an item A RR to pay for item B, you are fine and your RR should print.

I have to say that I personally will not be shopping Wags this week. This is a very slow ad with nothing jumping out at me that I must buy. Kmart Super Doubles 6/7-6/13 (or 6/16 for Super Kmarts)

First deal posting!! Yay!!

I live in the "LOND" aka land of no doubles. None of my grocery stores double any coupons at all. I was very excited last fall when Kmart started doubling coupons on certain weeks. They started off doubling up to 75 coupons per transaction, up to $2 each! Meaning a $2 coupon would take off $4!! That is unheard of! They have lowered the coupon limit over the last 8 months but it is still a worthwhile trip. Kmart usually doubles about every 2-4 weeks. They happen to be doubling this week with a limit of 10 coupons total and only 4 of the same coupon. I have gone to Kmart 5 times already this week!! It really is an addiction. Free/super cheap stuff is too hard to pass up.

Here is what I have gotten (picture is missing one pack of pullups that my 3 y/o grabbed)

Let me explain how I have done this. First, the products that I have gotten and coupons I used:

Huggies wipes: Tubs $2.9 - $1/1 Huggies bath and body = $0.99 (or there is a $0.75/1 wipes coupon)
40ct soft packs $1.99 -- $1/1 Huggies bath and body = FREE (or there is a $0.75/1 wipes coupon)
Pull Ups $9.99 -- $2/1 Pull Ups = $5.99
Huggies diapers $9.99 - $1.50/1 Huggies = $6.99
Kotex panty liners $1.19 - $1.25/2 Kotex blinkie (found at Walgreens) = FREE
Kraft Dressing $2.29 - $1.50/1 Kraft = FREE (this coupon expires today!)
Capri Sun Sunrise $2.50 - $1/1 Sunrise = $0.50
Chinet lunch plates $3.69 - $2/1 Chinet lunch = FREE
Dove Deodorant $2.29 - $1/1 Dove = $0.29 (I actually didn't have this coupon but I have some coming to me)

Those are good deals in and of themselves but there is also a catalina deal going on right now at Kmart. It's progressive. You can purchase $20 worth and get $3 back, $35 worth and get $7 or $50 worth and get $14. There is a huge list of participating brands that I will post in a bit. Huggies, Kotex and Dove are included. Here are some transactions that I did with the catalinas. These catalina amounts ($20, $35 and $50) are before coupons and the catalinas do roll which means that you can use a catalina to purchase more participating products and get a new catalina. Now for the transactions:
